Whoooooo wants a super cute owl cupcake??

I just love owls! I have grown to love, love, love everything owl! My newborn’s nursery is even decked out in sweet owls! 🙂 Anyway, I saw a picture of these super cute owl cupcakes somewhere and had to try to make them myself! It is really pretty easy to do and quick once you get your assembly line going! I have limited time with my 10 month old scooting around getting into everything now. So I have to use my free time wisely! 🙂
What you will need: cupcakes, chocolate frosting, Oreos & Reese’s pieces
I used store-bought cake mix and icing and baked per the directions for cupcakes. After they cooled, I iced them with chocolate frosting. Divide the Oreos in half and discard the side with no frosting (I actually saved mine for pie crusts or other treats needing cookie crumbs!) and then place the Oreos on top of the cupcake. before you put your brown Reese’s pieces on your Oreo to make the eye, dab a little bit of frosting on it first to act as glue. I used either yellow or an orange Reese’s for the beak and placed it sideways in between the eyes. For the finishing touch I added some texture to the top of the head for feathers. But, I also got lazy and only ended up doing this on half… it really didn’t matter either way!
So there you have it, super easy and super cute!! Now,whooooooooo wants to take a bite?!?!?!
