I received this delicious Shrimp Pasta recipe from my co-worker for a recipe swap in 2007. I just finally made it this year. I do not know what I was waiting for because this dish is divine! It has just a few ingredients and is so quick and easy to make, you are sure to love it! I changed it up slightly and it is A-MAZ-ING! Please don’t wait 5 years to try it or you will be sorry.

Here is what’cha need:
-
4 chopped green onions
-
4 large finely chopped garlic cloves
-
1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
-
3 tbsp olive oil
-
3 tbsp butter
-
1 box linguine pasta
-
1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
-
Sliced mushrooms
-
Shredded parmesan cheese
-
Salt and pepper
Here is what’cha do:
Cook & drain pasta. While your pasta is cooking, add oil and butter, garlic & green onions to skillet over medium heat. Saute for about 2 minutes (you don’t want your garlic to burn). Add mushrooms, shrimp, Old Bay seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking until shrimp turns pink (or you can use already cooked shrimp and just mix in with sauce until heated). Serve over warm pasta and top with parmesan cheese.

You can always get creative and try the base with different variations. You could add broccoli, asparagus, and peppers or substitute chicken or scallops for the shrimp. Or just change up the pasta and use penne, bowtie or egg noodles. Pretty much anything you could do a stir-fry with, could be substituted with this dish and taste great. I like to add hot sauce to it for a little kick! Make the dish your own, with your own taste.
And there you have it. From start to finish it would take you about 15 minutes. A perfect dinner to make when you want a home cooked meal but you’re running short on time. It will not only make you feel like supermom because of your speedy cooking skills, but also it will give you more time to read blogs spend time with family. A win, win! 🙂
